Lluvias provocan inundaciones en Espaillat, La Vega y Samaná

SANTO DOMINGO.- Las lluvias generadas por el paso de una vaguada han causado serias inundaciones en las provincias Espaillat, La Vega y Samaná, reportó este jueves el Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias (COE).

La crecida del rio Constanza inundó la Junta Distrital de Veragua y la comunidad La Cieneguita, en La Vega.

También hay reportes de inundaciones en la localidad El Limón, de Samaná, por lo que el COE mantiene esas provincias en alerta amarilla, al igual que Santiago Rodríguez, Hato Mayor, María Trinidad Sánchez, Monseñor Nouel, Sánchez Ramírez, El Seibo, Hermanas Mirabal, Santiago y Espaillat.

Además, emitió alerta verde para Puerto Plata, Duarte, Monte Plata, Santo Domingo y el Distrito Nacional.

El COE recomendó a las personas que residen en dichas localidades «no cruzar ríos, arroyos y cañadas que presenten altos volúmenes de agua».
